This guide explains how to connect your organization’s Zoom account to InsurCore, use meeting and recording features, and how to disconnect or remove the app when you no longer need it.
Adding the Zoom app
To connect Zoom to InsurCore, you must be signed in to InsurCore and have organization admin (or equivalent) permissions. Only one Zoom account is connected per organization.
- Sign in to InsurCore and open Communications in the main navigation.
- Go to the Zoom section, then open Settings (or go directly to Communications → Zoom → Settings if you are already in the app).
- Click Connect Zoom.
- You will be redirected to Zoom to sign in (if needed) and to authorize InsurCore to access your Zoom account. Review the requested permissions and approve.
- After you approve, Zoom redirects you back to InsurCore. The Zoom connection is then active for your organization.
If you do not see a Connect button, your user may not have permission to manage the Zoom connection. Contact your organization administrator. If you see an error during connection, ensure you are using an account that belongs to an organization in InsurCore and that you have completed Zoom’s sign-in and authorization steps.
Using the Zoom app
Once Zoom is connected, InsurCore can sync meeting and recording data for your organization.
- Meetings and recordings: From Communications → Zoom you can view and manage Zoom meetings and recordings that have been synced. Completed recordings are processed according to your organization’s settings.
- Calendar and chat: If your organization uses Zoom calendar or chat features in InsurCore, those sections are available from the Zoom area in Communications.
- User linking (optional): In Zoom Settings you can link InsurCore users to Zoom users (e.g., by email or admin override) so that meetings and recordings are associated with the correct people.
Data is received from Zoom via secure OAuth and webhooks. Only the scopes and events necessary for meetings and recordings are used. Your organization’s Zoom connection is stored securely and can be disconnected at any time (see below).
Removing the Zoom app
You can stop the Zoom integration in two ways: disconnect from within InsurCore, or remove the app from your Zoom account. Both result in InsurCore no longer accessing your Zoom data.
Disconnecting from InsurCore
- Sign in to InsurCore and go to Communications → Zoom → Settings.
- If Zoom is connected, you will see a Disconnect Zoom button (visible only to organization admins).
- Click Disconnect Zoom and confirm. InsurCore will revoke the Zoom access token and remove the stored connection. Zoom will no longer send new meeting or recording data to InsurCore for this organization.
Removing the app from Zoom
If you uninstall or remove the InsurCore app from your Zoom account (for example from the Zoom Marketplace or your Zoom app settings), Zoom will notify InsurCore via a deauthorization webhook. InsurCore will then remove the stored Zoom connection for that account. No further action is required in InsurCore; the integration is fully removed.
After removal, any data that was previously synced may remain in InsurCore according to your organization’s retention and data policies. If you need data deleted, contact your InsurCore administrator or support.
